DESCRIPTION: In January 2020 I was doing a weekend of stand-up comedy in Indianapolis. During those few days in my hotel room, I  sketched this caricature of Freddie Mercury, the flamboyant lead singer for the rock band Queen...

...While painting a musician, I sometimes clamp on my headphones and listen to their music in hopes of channeling their vibes. I think it worked with Freddie because most of the days while paining him in that hotel he did rock me while I was prancing around my room like a Persian popinjay in a tight white tank top.
