ABOUT THE SPECIAL: Snoopy’s Reunion was a prime-time animated television special that aired on May 1, 1991 as part of the anthology series Toon Night. It is one of only three Peanuts specials not to include “Charlie Brown” in the title and one of the few to feature adults on screen.
The story focus is on Snoopy, his family and his journey to becoming Charlie Brown’s best friend. The story begins at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm with Snoopy, his mother and his siblings. While still puppies Snoopy and his siblings quickly become adults and adept musicians. Snoopy is first sold to Lila and her family. Lila and Snoopy have fun together for a brief time in Lila's house. However, when Lila and her family moved to an apartment building, they are told by the landlord and they say that no pets are allowed which means Snoopy has to go back to the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm.
Back at the puppy farm Snoopy awaits his new owner. Charlie Brown and Linus come to finally get a dog so that Charlie Brown will have someone to welcome him home after a defeat. Charlie Brown negotiates the price of $5.00 even though Linus is skeptical since Snoopy is a “used dog”. Once home Charlie Brown realizes what a special dog Snoopy is and a montage of his abilities, playing baseball, sledding, surfing and tennis, is shown.
After several years Charlie Brown realized that Snoopy misses his family and invites the gang to a reunion at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. The family all meet and travel by bus to the site of the puppy farm only to discover that it has been replaced by a parking garage. This doesn’t discourage Snoopy and his family as they are happy together and play music.
Once the party is over Snoopy puts on his World War I flying ace costume, loads his siblings on his doghouse and the camera cuts back to Charlie Brown and Linus, with several off-screen sound effects insinuating that Snoopy is flying his 'plane'. When the camera cuts back to it, all his siblings have gone back home and Snoopy is standing on the ground next to it, picking his teeth. Charlie Brown is shocked and wonders aloud how he could do that, to which Linus replies, "Well, he's your dog, Charlie Brown".
