ABOUT THE IMAGE: Tom and Jerry first appeared under the names Jasper and Jinx, in the 1940 classic, Puss Gets the Boot. That same year, Puss Gets the Boot won an Academy Award for best short cartoon.  Tom and Jerry Kids, however, originally aired in the 1990s, younger versions of the animals are featured with Tom, as in the classic cartoons, trying to catch naughty mouse Jerry. This original production cel is hand-signed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Production Cels are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-painted by studio artists on a piece of celluloid acetate, and has been photographed over a background painting to create a frame of the finished production.
