ABOUT THE IMAGE: In 1956’s “Stupor Duck”, Daffy plays the role of the title character, an extraterrestrial duck with extraordinary powers who’s come to Earth to fight the forces of evil. He disguises himself as the mild-mannered newspaper reporter Cluck Trent, until he gains knowledge of the evil Aardvark Ratnik’s plan to “blow up everything” and lay waste to the city. After changing into Stupor Duck inside the broom closet, he soars through the city, failing miserably to stop a building from toppling over (it was being demolished to make way for the City Hall), recover a sinking ship (that was really a submarine), and  prevent an evil doer from exploding the railroad tracks. Yet, Stupor Duck remains resolute to stop Ratnik’s evil plans, so when he sees a rocket about to lift off, he sees it as a threat and jumps at the opportunity to stop it. He grabs on, and as he rockets into space, two hikers notice and exclaim whole-heartedly “It’s a bird… it’s a plane… no, it’s Stupor Duck!”

ABOUT THE MEDIUM:  “Stupor Duck” was rendered, referencing the original classic animation, by renowned Warner Bros. Animation Director Darrell Van Citters. The drawing was then hand-inked by Laurie Dindis and the line then serigraph printed on cels with the Clampett Studio seal of authenticity. Each cel is then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The background was digitally recreated from the original production then reproduced utilizing the fine art giclée process. The edition, produced in an edition of only fifteen pieces is signed by Art Director, Ruth Clampett.
