ABOUT THE IMAGE: "Take her far into the forest. Find some secluded glade where she can pick wildflowers [...] And there, my faithful Huntsman, you will kill her!" Step into the court of the Evil Queen with this stupendous concept drawing featuring a somber image of the iconic Disney villain and the Huntsman to plan the famous scene from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This ominous image depicts the Evil Queen sitting on her throne, shrouded in shadows, as she commands the Huntsman to assassinate Snow White. The drawing was made with graphite on a piece of 5.25" x 4" paper which has been stapled to a 12" x 10.25" paper that bears a "Unit D" stamp in the bottom right corner. Included with the drawing, is a 9.75" x 7.75" publicity photo that was used to promote the film.
ABOUT THE MEDIUM(S): In the development of an animated picture, story sketches represent the translation of initial creative ideas into graphic form. This step is followed by animation drawings which give life and movement to the characters.
