Scooby-Doo & Shaggy
MEDIUM: Limited Edition Hand-Painted Cel
IMAGE SIZE: 18" x 11"
HORS DE COMMERCE EDITION SIZE: 20
SIGNED: Bob Singer
SKU: HB1033
ABOUT THE IMAGE: This cel began with a drawing from Iwao Takamoto, original designer of the characters on Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! A master inking by Helene Hunter was silk-screened, along with the Hanna-Barbera seal of authenticity, onto an acetate sheet (or “cel”). Each cel was then expertly hand-painted on the reverse side. The background drawings were also drawn by Iwao Takamoto, and special attention was paid in the printing in order to capture the delicate line quality of the drawings. In the final step of production, the edition number was hand-inked on each cel. Upon completion of the edition, the master inking and drawing was archived.
This piece has been signed by Hanna-Barbera storyboard and layout artist, Bob Singer and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity!

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
