This image first appeared in the February 2003 Batman Comic, “In the Mouth of Madness,” which was penciled by Jim Lee. This series has grown into one of the most popular DC Comics Batman series to date. Rendered by Jim Lee, Lee’s style is noted for the definition and detail he incorporates into his superhero images. Each piece is hand-numbered and has been signed by Jim Lee.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Jim Lee is a Korean comic-book artist, writer, editor, and publisher. He is currently the Publisher and Chief Creative Officer for DC Comics. He started his career in 1987 working for Marvel Comics and in 1992 broke away from Marvel to start Image Comics

Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
