ABOUT THE IMAGE: Traditionally, life has taken a long, fast plummet for Wile E. Coyote. Now that the Road Runner is Wile's therapist, it is safe to say that as many perceived about his obsessive-compulsive behavior, like the cliffs Wile E. has so unceremoniously teetered from, this time his fall has truly splattered him into the deep end, back-first, on the sofa.
Of course, nothing changes, even in a clinical setting, Thoughts abound —or rather one each—that as Wile E. imagines roasting Road Runner, Road Runner images a straight-jacketed Wile. E. Furthermore, in the imitation of psychiatric science toward cartoon exclamations that Wile. E. will "this time" net the bony bird, the Road Runner has his own projections, none of which are new. Yes, as scrawled, the coyote is a "nut," "menace," and "wacko." But overall with Wile E., as the Road Runner attests, it is just a matter of "Blah! Blah! Blah!"
ABOUT THE MEDIUM: After research and concept development, noted Warner Bros. artist Juan Ortiz meticulously created an original drawing. After completion of a maser inking, the image is silk screened onto acetate, then hand-painted on the reverse side in the same manner that original cartoons are created. Meanwhile Master Background Artist Dennis Durrell painted the original custom background, which was reproduced as a fine art Giclée print. Each hand-painted cel is imprinted with the Clampett Studio Collections seal of authenticity, and hand-numbered. The edition was then signed by Creative Director Ruth Clampett.

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
