WELCOME TO WACKYLAND DELUXE
MEDIUM: Limited Edition Deluxe Cel
SIZE: 13.5" x 16.5"
EDITION SIZE: 25
ARTIST: Bob Clampett
SKU: CC1279
ABOUT THE IMAGE: 100 nuts and a squirrel mean something here, simply because “nuts” are what nearly drives Porky nuts in the classic 1939 Looney Tunes short “Porky in Wackyland,” directed by Robert Clampett. In this image, Porky has reached the darkest Africa, wherewith agility by both himself and his plane, he tiptoes himself over to a world of alternate dimensions, in his quest to capture the ever-elusive last of the Do-Do birds.
Each cel is hand-numbered and signed Ruth Clampett, Creative Director for Warner Bros. Fine Art Program for over 20 years and the daughter of the legendary animation director, Bob Clampett.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Bob Clampett was an American animator, director, producer, and puppeteer known for his work on the Looney Tunes animated series from Warner Brothers. Clampett was promoted to a directorial position in 1937 and during his fifteen years at the studio, directed 84 cartoons later deemed classic and designed some of the studio's most famous characters, including Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and Tweety.

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
