Mickey Mouse
MEDIUM: Original Production Drawing
IMAGE SIZE: 12" x 10"
PRODUCTION: Alpine Climbers
YEAR: 1936
SKU: CCV4113
ABOUT THE IMAGE: Mickey, Donald, and Pluto trek through the beautiful but frigid Swiss Alps in search of eagle eggs in Alpine Climbers, directed by Dave Hand and released to theaters on 7/25/1936. The group gets more than they bargained for when Pluto nearly freezes to death and the furious mother eagle catches Mickey in the act! You can find the expressive 12 field 5-peghole graphite with color pencil animation drawing featuring a full figure Mickey Mouse, starting at about 2:12 in the short as Mickey realizes the mother eagle is watching him take her eggs. He tries to backpedal and laughs nervously while holding up one of her eggs, but that does nothing to calm her down. The animation drawing measures about 4'' x 3.25'' and is numbered 73 in the lower right corner of the page.
ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Production Drawings are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-drawn by a studio artist.
