ABOUT THE IMAGE: The Rescuers is a 1977 American animated adventure comedy-drama film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by Buena Vista Distribution. The 23rd Disney animated feature film, the film is about the Rescue Aid Society, an international mouse organization headquartered in New York City and shadowing the United Nations, dedicated to helping abduction victims around the world at large. Two of these mice, jittery janitor Bernard (Bob Newhart) and his co-agent, the elegant Miss Bianca (Eva Gabor), set out to rescue Penny (Michelle Stacy), an orphan girl being held prisoner in the Devil's Bayou by treasure huntress Madame Medusa (Geraldine Page). The film is based on a series of books by Margery Sharp, most notably The Rescuers (1959) and Miss Bianca (1962).

The storyboards were all created by the exceptional writer and story artist Ted Berman (1919 - 2001), who contributed to a variety of Disney films, shorts, and featurettes including The Black Cauldron and The Fox and the Hound. The storyboards and prints were largely created for: the sequence at the beginning of the film with the Rescue Aid Society where Bernard and Bianca are introduced, starting at roughly 6:22; the chase sequence where Madame Medusa, Mr. Snoops, and Medusa's crocodiles hunt Bernard and Bianca, starting at around 46:49; and the fight sequence at about 1:09:31 when Ellie Mae and crew help Bernard and Bianca fight off Madame Medusa. 

These pieces may have typical production wear including pinholes, minor edge tears, and faint smudging.
