ABOUT THE IMAGE: Three of the very lively members of the Pearly Band, the musicians who accompany Mary Poppins during the musical number "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," are showcased in this incredibly rare animation drawing from Mary Poppins, graced by the signature of two of the most outstanding Disney animators and Disney Legends Frank Thomas (1912 - 2004) and Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008). Seen at about the 58:06 mark of the film, the musical trio shows the tambourine player, the gentleman playing the bones, and the happy fiddle player all rendered in graphite. Numbered 263 in the bottom right corner, the drawing features an animation timing chart near the bottom right corner, and it shows the signatures of the legendary animators in the lower area of the 16-field animation sheet. Included with the lot is a photo of Frank Thomas signing the piece.
