ABOUT THE IMAGE: First released in 1945, the cartoon short "Tee for Two" by William Hanna and Joesph Barbera has become one of their most iconic cartoons even 76 years later. Set on a golf course, we see a frustrated Tom attempt to play a game of golf made even more complicated by the fact that Jerry lives in the holes on the course. The scene where Tom uses Jerry as a tee is a classic example of the boisterous and hilarious animations made by Hanna and Barbera that made Warner Brothers (and later Hanna-Barbera Studios) cartoons stand out from the softer Walt Disney animations. It is also the reason that we still remember, laugh and love these early cartoons today.
This limited edition serigraph cel mounted on a printed background comes hand-signed by animator legend, Bob Singer. Famed character designer, background artist, and storyboard director Bob Singer worked on some of Hanna-Barbera's most iconic productions including: The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, Tom & Jerry, among others.
The serigraph cel was created by silk screening every individual color onto an acetate cel which, while time-consuming, results in a beautiful artwork containing 10-50 different colors faithful to the original animation cel made and used by animators like Bob in production.
