About the Artist

Simone Bianchi is an Italian comic book artist and illustrator who has gained international recognition for his distinctive, highly detailed style and dynamic storytelling. Born on July 10, 1972, in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy, Bianchi discovered his love for drawing at an early age and began studying art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence.

Bianchi's career in comics began in the late 1990s when he started working for various Italian publishers, including Sergio Bonelli Editore and Marvel Italia. In 2002, he was discovered by Marvel Comics and began working on titles such as "Wolverine," "Astonishing X-Men," and "Thor," which quickly established him as one of the industry's most talented and sought-after artists. Bianchi's style is characterized by his intricate linework, elaborate backgrounds, and his use of mixed media, including pencils, inks, and watercolors. He is also known for his ability to create dynamic, action-packed sequences that flow seamlessly from one panel to the next, immersing readers in the story and bringing the characters to life.  In addition to his work in comics, Bianchi has also worked as a concept artist and illustrator for films, video games, and advertising campaigns. His clients have included companies such as Pixar, Warner Bros., and Nike. Throughout his career, Bianchi has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the comics industry. In 2012, he won the prestigious Eisner Award for Best Cover Artist, and in 2019, he was inducted into the Italian Comics Hall of Fame.
