ABOUT THE IMAGE: “Batman: Face to Face” illustrates the dark, yet detail-oriented style that has marked the gothic style of DC Comics’ artist Simone Bianchi. In this image of Batman, we readily observe the vigilante’s tension as he readies himself to not just uncover the murderer’s identity, but protect old foes as well. This image is taken from eight-part Batman Detective series, “Face To Face.” A pivotal follow up to the “Infinite Crisis” series, “Face to Face” marks the return of Batman to Gotham where he must now solve a string of murders. Each piece is hand-numbered and has been signed by Simone Bianchi.

ABOUT:
Tom Everhart is a celebrated American painter whose work uniquely bridges the worlds of fine art and popular culture through his exclusive use of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Initially trained at Yale School of Art and later mentored by Schulz himself, Everhart transitioned from traditional illustration and architectural rendering to a bold, expressive painting style after a life-altering battle with cancer in the late 1980s.
"The "Posing" series did grow out of the previous "Hide and Seek" series that focused on the questions of one's attempt to hide their intellectual honesty in order to seek out a newly designed image... a "Poser" tsunami of posturing between who was being real, and who was obviously pretending to be real, often with the intent to deceive, could no longer be ignored." - Tom Everhart
